86th CARF Special Seminar : Conversation with Dr. Gita Gopinath (First Deputy Managing Director, International Monetary Fund)
On January 27th, 2023, Dr. Gita-Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF came to University of Tokyo for an active discussion with the students on various economic issues facing the world and Japan. For details of the event, please refer below.

Dr. Gita-Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, previously Chief Economist of IMF and Professor at Harvard’s economics department, has offered to have a broad dialogue with students (including graduate students) of the University of Tokyo on the occasion of her visit to Japan for a conference with the Japanese government. We would like to listen to Dr. Gopinath’s views of the confusing global economic situation and to engage in active discussions with the students on various economic issues facing the world and Japan. In the conversation, there probably will be an explanation on the role of IMF. Ms. Gopinath, originally from India, may be able to offer advice to the students regarding their future employment and career development too. For those students interested, please do not miss this valuable opportunity.
